  1. Turnitin
  • Overview: Turnitin is plagiarism detection software that checks student work for matching text by comparing it against a large database of student papers, publications, and online content.
  • Account Activation: We strongly recommend that departments (as Turnitin administrators) and teachers apply for Turnitin Instructors accounts. As a Turnitin Instructor, you may “create a class” and then “create an assignment” for students. It not only allows students to upload files via direct submission, but also allows instructors directly to see the submissions’ original overall similarity scores and reports.
  • Student Account Activation: For official or formal reports, please first contact your department or instructor to see if a Turnitin class and an assignment have been set up and follow their guidance. For personal practice, you may apply a student practice account which is created by library, please click this link for more details.
  • Instructor Account: For first-time registration, you may turn to your department to assist with the account activation. Or you may apply the instructor account through library, please click this link to apply. If you already have an account, please click this link to reset your password.
